Objectives

  • Complete HARAs for all ARAS features.
  • Define ASILs and Safety Goals.
  • Develop FTAs for ASIL-rated features.

  • Updated item definitions for all ARAS features.
  • Compiled various scenario combinations.
  • Completed HARAs, Safety Goals (SGs), and Functional Safety Cases (FSCs).

  • Delivered all required Functional Safety work products.

Project - heavy trucks

Situation

Peer review of system engineering work products for ADAS features on trucks. 

Objectives 

  • Review system engineering work products.
  • Assess failure modes.
  • Assess testing scenarios and methods.

Actions 

  • Analyzed system engineering work products.
  • Assessed identified failure modes, including control and user interfaces.
  • Evaluated testing scenarios and procedures.

Situation: 

Use MBSE methods for a designing a Driver Monitoring System

Objectives

  • Develop system engineering deliverables within an Agile framework.
  • Ensure compliance with emerging regulations.

Actions 

  • Reviewed legal requirements and identified suitable technologies.
  • Developed system requirements and architecture.
  • Defined key performance indicators, and established testing methods.

  • Defined system requirements.
  • Conducted Functional Safety analysis.
  • Conducted Threat Assessment and Risk Analysis.

Project - SOTIF

Situation: 

Assess the safety of the intended function for an ADAS feature on trucks

Objectives:

  • Analyse the system design in the FuSa and SOTIF context. 
  • Propose technical solutions for identified corner cases.

Actions 

  • Identified safety-critical scenarios.
  • Evaluated the used ADAS technology.
  • Compiled a report on critical scenarios with mitigation proposals.

 Results

  • Identified operational scenarios that may cause life-threatening malfunctions.
  • Collaborated with the client on hazard mitigation measures.

Project - in reverse

Situation: 

Reverse-engineer vehicle-level legacy features, with limited documentation

Objectives:

  • Review existing technical specifications.
  • Rebuild vehicle architecture through reverse-engineering.

Actions 

  • Determined key feature characteristics.
  • Identified components and their interfaces.
  • Developed the system architecture for each feature.

 Results

  •  Detailed analysis of feature behaviors and documentation inconsistencies.
  • Comprehensive system models, using MBSE techniques, for features in scope.

Project - cybersecurity

Situation: 

Assess the cybersecurity relevance and identify system assets. 

Objectives:

  • Generate Threat Analysis and Risk Assessments (TARAs), CS Goals and Requirements for these assets. 

Actions 

  • Create the cybersecurity work products.
  • Define V&V framework focused on cybersecurity. 
  • Provide trainings to raise cyber-security awareness.


 Results

  • Cybersecurity work products completed
  • System's enhanced cybersecurity posture through comprehensive assessments and a structured management framework.
